Reel Illusion Films is a staunchly independent Indian production company. At RIF we believe in the real illusion only moving images can conjure. We are driven by the need to tell unconventional stories with artistic merit and pride ourselves on our hand-crafted approach to original filmmaking, striving to entertain an adventurous audience for world cinema. Our films have been showcased at top-tier festivals including Venice, Toronto, Rotterdam and Fantasia and secured distribution with companies such as Shudder, PVR Cinemas and EBS Korea.
ABOUT US
Sidharth Srinivasan is an acclaimed Indian independent filmmaker known for his bold, genre-defying work. His latest film, KRIYA, played Fantasia 2020 and became the first Indian film to stream on Shudder. Sidharth’s debut short SWAMOHITA premiered at Venice in 2000 when he was just 23 years old. Made a year later, his debut feature, the micro-budget indie DIVYA DRISHTI broke ground as India’s first digital film and in it's depiction of sexuality in working-class India. His sophomore feature PAIRON TALLE screened at Toronto and won the Hubert Bals Fund at Rotterdam. Currently, Sidharth is developing multiple projects including RAKSHASA and THE PROFANE. Sidharth is a member of NETPAC and the Screenwriters Association of India. Reel Illusion Films Pvt Ltd represents the fulfilment of Sidharth's long-cherished dream—to establish a company that allows him to more efficiently develop and produce multiple projects, while staying true to his indie filmmaking roots.

Rwikjit Roy completed his masters in film editing from the prestigious Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) in 2015 with the diploma film SEX WITH A MONK AND OTHER STORIES which was selected to the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK). Rwikjit currently divides his time working for Los-Angeles based MTCO Studios as an Editor-Producer, creating campaigns and trailers for clients including Sony Pictures, Netflix and Universal Studios. After graduation from SRFTI, he cut his teeth in advertising as a Creative Head at Sterling AG, working on campaigns for clients such as Castrol, DHL and Tata Motors. Rwikjit has edited numerous shorts and documentaries, most recently FAR FROM HOME which premiered at the San Francisco Documentary Festival. KRIYA was Rwikjit’s first feature film as editor and marked the beginning of his creative collaboration with Sidharth, resulting in the founding of Reel Illusion Films Pvt Ltd.
